The Victorian Government has announced that due to the high number of cases in the state, authorised workers who need to leave home to attend work will need: by 11.59pm on Friday 15 October to have had one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or show that they have an appointment to receive their first dose by 11.59pm on Friday 22 October. Additionally, those workers must have had their 2nd dose by 26 November.
Vaccination requirements for suppliers and contractors in Victoria
In line with the Victorian Government’s public health order, workers of suppliers or contractors working in Victoria will also need to adhere to this vaccination requirement. That is, it is expected that:
- You ensure that your employees have had their first Covid-19 vaccination by 11:59pm on 15 October (or have an appointment to receive their first dose by 11.59pm on Friday 22 October), and second vaccination by 26 November;
- You have a system in place that records the vaccination status of each of your employees; and
- You do not send any of your employees (or your third party logistics providers or their sub-contractors) to our Victorian premises unless they have been vaccinated (or a medical exemption applies).
Electronic Visitor, Employee & Contractor Management Systems should allow you the ability to upload the vaccination certificate against the individuals profile once and then everytime they sign in to a location or site the system automatically checks this information has been collected and is valid.
