The Victorian Government regulated the use of their QR Code app for all workplaces a few months back now and as of Monday 12 July it will be mandatory for all workplaces and retail businesses in NSW to have employees, visitors and contractors check-in using the Service NSW QR Code too.

Both Government entities are not open at this stage to connect with any third party sign in solution, so we are here to offer you, our loyal customers some helpful tips to ensure you remain compliant with not only your organisations regulations like health and security screening and emergency management but also your local Government regulations.

If you are yet to register your business and get the NSW Government QR Code Click Here for full details.

Steps to assist you communicate and implement the process if you are using Visitor Management System.

  1. Add wording to your sign in screen: As you can see displayed below, you can add text below the sign in and sign out buttons such as “You will need to have your smartphone ready to complete sign in”
  2. Add your organisations dedicated Government QR Code: Using Questionnaire Manager and custom questionnaires you can include one or multiple slides to ask the person signing in to scan and check in as part of the mandatory Government temporary requirements. You can set timers to allow sufficient time for them to complete the process. This option would require you to turn off the touchless QR code option on your kiosk as the person signing in needs their phone to scan the Government QR Code.
  3. Add a last pop up reminder message: Using Acknowledgement Notices you can add a pop up message like the below asking the person signing in to check in to the Government QR Code poster located on the wall to the right for example. This option keeps the 2 processes separate and allows you to still offer a touchless sign in process.
