This month the KeyWatcher integration has been completed. Now a contractor is unable to receive a key unless they sign into the location requesting a key.
How does it work – very simple really, a contractor signs into the contractor management software and asks for a key during the sign in process. Once signed in correctly including health & safety questions and detailed inductions KeyWatcher will push a message to the contractor that includes a pin number to access the key, while the transactional presence on site has been recorded against the profile of the contractor.
What problem does it solve automating the release of the keys to the contractor?
The problem this KeyWatcher integration solves is one that is common to many customers using KeyWatcher. I will use an example from a hospital. When a contractor turns up on-site at a hospital they will generally go to Engineering to sign in their presence on-site and pick up any keys they may require. Historically if the contractor cannot find the correct person to access the key cabinet they may find themselves waiting for an undetermined time before.
