Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) last week joined Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) and South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) by selecting Time & People to implement the Visitor, Contractor and Induction system to improve contractor compliance while also improving the presence of visitors to the hospital excluding patient visitors.
Back in April 2016 the Engineering Manager at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney Nik contacted Time & People to award the contract to implement the visitor, contractor compliance system. Following on from the success of the implementation at Royal Prince Alfred, Concord Repatriation General, Canterbury, Balmain and Sydney Dental Hospitals SWSLHD made contact to initially implement Liverpool hospital. SWSLHD also includes Bankstown, Camden, Campbeltown, Fairfield and Bowral Hospitals. The engineering manager from Liverpool Hospital Peter shared with me some statistics that compared compliance before and after the implementation of the visitor, contractor compliance system.
Key to moving to a Visitor Contractor compliance system for each district has been to be able to centralise all of the contractors providing services to the hospitals into one central database, once a contractor completes the online induction for SLHD they can attend any of the hospitals within SLHD and sign into the system, when the contractor signs in the system automatically checks if the contractor has all their compliance in place and stops a contractor signing in if there is a compliance breach.
SLHD being the first to adopt the Visitor, Contractor compliance solution from Time & People have in the past 12 months expanded to include community health centres while also increasing the number of sign in stations around the hospital to improve area specific induction requirements as people sign into different areas of the hospitals.
Central Coast Local Health District chose the all in one stand alone Intouch Kiosk for it’s two larger Hospitals. These kiosks are Australian designed and manufactured and expertly designed for Visitor and Contractor Management in busy reception areas or unmanned entry points to buildings, gatehouses and factories. Incorporating a high definition camera for photo capture, an industrial printer for visitor passes, stereo speakers and a QR/barcode scanner which are all neatly and safely integrated within the tamper proof housing. The custom logo branding it makes for a great first impression.
Health, Aged Care, Hospitals, when it comes to contractors they all have common issues with existing manual systems. Want to improve your Visitor, Contractor compliance
