After growing up about 30 miles from Mt Panaroma and going to many events at Bathurst as a child I thought I might go through and take a look at our customer base to see how many are involved with the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 in 2018
Racing started at Mt Panaroma in 1963. The Bathurst 1000 was in its infancy in the form of the Armstrong 500 at Phillip Island in Victoria. The race was held at Phillip Island only three times, as the track was severely damaged in the 1962 race. This become a godsend to Bathurst and Mount Panorama, who has hosted the Great Race ever since.
