Fredon is a 100% Australian owned leading provider of Electrical, Data, Heating/Ventilation/Aie-Conditioning (HVAC), Security and Technology services. Fredon take on large construction projects, scheduled maintenance and service works.

In April 2017 Fredon started a 30 Day Free Visitor Management Trial with an immediate need to manage visitors and staff at their WA office.  Impressed by the Visitor Management software and all the features it included, they were live and signing in visitors and employees before the end of their trial.

Here is what they have to say….

How has the visitor management system assisted you in your business?

The Visitor Management System has assisted our business by providing us with a simple and easy way to manage which workers are onsite at our office and factory, the RFID reader integrated with our current security card swipe system which allowed a smooth transition into the staff management as workers did not need to carry two ID cards.

How has Visitor Management assisted you with your Visitor and contractor management?

Visit management is easier as visitors can nominate who they are onsite to visit and that person is notified via email and text message that someone is there to see them. It has eliminated the need for a paper sign in system and the receptionist loves it as she does not have to explain evacuation details to all visitors, a single page induction during the visitor’s signing in covers this aspect.

What do you like most about Visitor Management?

Simple to use and set up, the staff and visitor sign in / out can be accessed by any PC with internet access, it all cloud based so there is no risk of data loss. Any manager in the business can log in and see the status of who is onsite

Evacuation Management with Visitor Management Software
22nd Mar, 2023
Peter Morrissey

In the event of an emergency, proper evacuation management is critical to ensuring the safety of building occupants, including visitors. This is where visitor management software can come in handy.

Visitor management software can be used to track the whereabouts of visitors in the building and ensure that they are safely evacuated in the event of an emergency. The software can also be used to communicate important safety information and evacuation instructions to visitors, including directions to the nearest exit and assembly point.

Here are some tips for using visitor management software for evacuation management in buildings:

Set up the software properly: Make sure that the software is set up correctly and that all visitors are registered upon entry. This will ensure that you have an accurate record of all visitors in the building in the event of an emergency.

Use the software to communicate: Utilize the software to communicate important safety information and evacuation instructions to visitors. This can be done through automated messages, emails, or text messages.

Identify assembly points: Use the software to identify assembly points for visitors in the event of an emergency. This will help to ensure that all visitors are accounted for and can be safely evacuated.

Train staff on evacuation procedures: Make sure that all staff members are trained on evacuation procedures and know how to use the visitor management software. This will ensure that everyone is prepared in the event of an emergency.

Test the system regularly: Regularly test the visitor management software to ensure that it is working properly and that everyone knows how to use it. This will help to ensure that everyone is prepared in the event of an emergency.

Overall, using visitor management software for evacuation management in buildings can be a valuable tool for ensuring the safety of all occupants, including visitors. By properly utilizing the software and following these tips, building managers can be well-prepared in the event of an emergency.
