Employees, contractors and visitors can all sign in their presence on site for evacuation using visitor management software. There are a number of ways people can sign in and out their presence on site at a single location or across multiple locations locally, nationally or globally.

Visitors

Visitors can simply walk up to a visitor management kiosk and sign in selecting the host they are visiting so the host can get a message. You can also pre register a visitor in advance which will send the visitor an email with a bar code that can be used on arrival to sign in saving the visitor having having to type their name at the kiosk. It is very simple to pre register visitors when you make the appointment in your google or outlook calendar the meeting can be automatically sent into the visitor management software giving reception and a security visibility on the people that are due to arrive. When the visitor signs in you can force an induction sharing your expectations with the visitor while they attend your location/s

Contractors

Contractors have a number of ways to sign in, they can also sign in and out through a self serve visitor, contractor kiosk but they can also be assigned a bar code or chipped access control card to the profile so they can just tap in and tap out each day. Contractors can also use the contractor app that allows contractors to sign in and out using their own mobile phone. Every time the contractor signs in and out with the contractor mobile phone app we take the GPS position and place this data onto a map in reports.

Employees

Employees also have multiple ways to sign in and out their presence on site for evacuation. Using our employee sync tool we can bring data automatically from time and attendance systems so that when an employee signs in for work the clocking automatically comes into the visitor management software for evacuation management….We also have direct integrations to products like Deputy

  • Employees like contractors can also be given a bar code like on a photo ID card or a chipped access control card to tap in and out their presence on site. In some countries like USA, NZ and Canada where a bar code is on the drivers licence we use the drivers licence for employees and contractors to sign in and out.
  • Just this week I worked with a customer who wanted to create a bar code inside google wallet that could be used by employees to sign in and out their presence on site. While google wallet would not allow a bar code card to be created several apps are available that allow a bar code card to be created that is automatically pushed into google wallet and now you have an individual bar code kept on the mobile phone unique to the employee.

Most common way to sign in your presence for evacuation today is with a self serve kiosk.
