Continuing with our series promoting customers from 2014 and 2015.
Anchor Foods first made an initial inquiry for Visitor Management by signing up for the 30 day trial. Once we started to dig deeper into the questions through conversation during the visitor management 30 day trial period Shaid explained to me how he did need to track contractors as well. Shaid wanted contractors to complete a mini or light induction when they signed in answering a few health and safety questions on sign in. Shaid also wanted to take advantage of the active directory script that allowed automatic population of the employee database.
A couple of weeks into the 30 day trial Shaid set up a self-serve kiosk to allow visitors and contractors to sign in without the aid of a reception or admin person. The kiosk will help when the admin or reception person is tied up on the phone or away from the desk. The self serve visitor kiosk sends and email or SMS to the host of the visitor alerting the host the visitor has arrived.
Shaid also had an internal 2nd location on the same site where he needed employees to sign in & out at this internal location also. We had several options for employees to sign in with and without a self-serve kiosk. Shaid took up one of the more popular methods for employees signing in and signing out for evacuation purposes where we use an existing access control cards and assigned them with a programmed RFID reader to the employee. The employee can then swipe their card at any visitor management kiosk that has the programmed RFID reader attached signing the employee into and out of the evacuation report as they swipe.
More about Anchor Foods
The Anchor Foods story began in 1854 when an enterprising young mariner and merchant from the Shetland Isles, Gilbert Wood, took possession of an unpaid cargo.
Where others would have seen ruin he saw opportunity and, with great initiative, on-sold the groceries to recover debts.
Opting to leave his life on the high seas, Gilbert started his own grocery store and chose the sign of the Anchor as its symbol. From humble beginnings, the company prospered and quickly gained the reputation of being a first class supplier of quality grocery foods across Australia.
For well over 100 years the port city of Fremantle has been the home of Anchor Foods. The company continues to build on its fine traditions of integrity and reliability, bringing to you pure and trusted products.
