I have walked into many businesses that use multiple books to manually sign in and out people. I remember walking into the main reception are of the taxation office in Sydney earlier this year where i was presented with a book for visitors, a book for contractors, a book for employees who forgot their access card and a book for another group of people I cant remember the exact details.
I spoke with a school last week that has following books to manage
- Visitor sign in book
- Contractor sign in book
- Casual teachers sign in book
- Parents sign in book
- Teachers sign in book
I have been to customer locations where they have multiple entry points and require multiple sets of visitor sign in books. Imagine reconciling the data if looking for information from 6 weeks ago on a Wednesday. You would have to gather the visitor management books to collate the details required, while all of this is going on no one can sign into the books as you are reviewing the books..
What about evacuation reporting….
Understanding what a person wrote down manually creates a whole new frustration when it comes time to try and report on any of the information….good luck with that! I hope your boss is patient.
It is time to update your Visitor Management System and go electronic. Time to move away from manual visitor management books.
How many books do you use in your business to capture data about your visitors? Imagine being able to run a report in seconds on one contractor, one supplier company, one visitor to have information at your fingertips to help answer the questions being asked of you.
Visitor Management dashboards
Imagine one dashboard giving you more information live anywhere, than you could ever get out of your manual visitor management books. Dashboards are great for multiple location situations where the dashboard can auto scroll between all of your locations. Create multiple dashboards, one for each location and one for all locations, you can create as many dashboards as you need.
