I spoke with Mark this week about how he was going with his implementation, Mark is in one factory in South Chesterfield Virginia and he is now up to contractor inductions after already setting up visitor management and contractor management. The conversation was very interesting as to how Mark discovered while loading up the electronic contractor management module the manual compliance system that was in place was very much out of date in some areas.
As Mark set up more contractors, their licences, insurance policies etc in the electronic Visitor, Contractor and Induction Management database Mark discovered the actual information that had been collated from manual systems over previous years had gaps in the information available.
Mark went on to explain to me how as they discovered gaps in the existing manual system his legal team took this opportunity to review many of the existing practices in the business around contractors.
