We would like to welcome Cardinia Shire Council our first council in Australia to use WhosOnLocation Visitor Management Software. While the product is now used across Australia, New Zealand, PNG, South Africa, USA and Canada Cardinia Shire Council is our first council to start using the software. In the past we have had schools, government offices, manufacturing, construction, retail, small and large business from many industries, we are pleased to help our first council customer.

Cardinia Shire is one of the fastest growing regions of metropolitan Melbourne. Located 45 kilometres east of Melbourne CBD, the Shire extends from the Dandenong Ranges in the north to Westernport Bay in the south. It comprises rapidly growing residential areas and rural farmland accessed by Monash Freeway and Princes Highway. Its features include significant wetlands, densely vegetated rolling hills, plains and swamps. It also includes unique Aboriginal cultural landscapes used by the Bunurong people until early explorers and settlers opened up the land for farming and agricultural development.

Cardinia Shire council originally started looking for a Visitor Management System to support front line staff. The existing manual system fell short of today’s requirements. The high level requirements included OHS, Risk and Evacuation and details being kept in the system for repeat customers.  After recently setting up and using WhosOnLocation Visitor Management solution for 5 weeks we asked a few questions to see how the visitor management system was performing.

When asked “how has WhosOnLocation assisted you in your business”? Donna said It has made huge difference in how we manage visitors to the Shire Offices.  People email the Customer Service Team with details of the visitor / s they are expecting; our front counter staff enter these visitors into the system and simply check them in on arrival. The system has made a more professional image for visitors.

When asked what do you not like about the visitor management system Donna said “Haven’t come across anything that we don’t like”
