Visitor Management often requires the ability to create zones, many customers look to create zones to track the movement of people through buildings or locations. We have two main ways to collect the transaction (the check in and check out between zones) in which we can manage people through zones, the first is with our mobile smart phone app Site Guard that when connected to our Grabba pack will also read RFID cards. Perfect where security or guards are a part of the zone entrance.
With the smart phone app Site Guard application while standing in front of a contractor you can scan the contractor RFID card through the Grabba pack, the RFID card is then checked against the profile of the card owner in the WhosOnLocation database bringing a photo up of the person matching the card identity. This is the ultimate on the spot visual check of identity.
You can also set up fixed kiosks at any zone location you wish to track, each with an RFID reader for fast entry and exit of people through the zones. See some recent kiosk examples here
Within WhosOnLocation database out of the box you can set up zones for your building or location. Zones allow tracking movements of staff between zones in your building or location.
An example of how this can work is where you may have 4 zones in your business that you wish to track people movement. Tracking staff between zones allows you to easily account for people as they move from one zone to another. Knowing you have moved 22 people into zone 3 and then out of zone 3 could be a matter of high security, safety or fatigue, with easy to access reporting functions to alert you to unaccounted for people.
1/ Server Room (high security)
2/ Lunch Room
3/ Location A
4/ Location B
WhosOnLocation allows unlimited zones, once set up in the database the information will populate to the smart phone app SiteGuard on the next sync, making the zones available to all SiteGuard users.
You can capture the movements of people between zones with the Grabber Pack, you can also set up purpose built kiosks where a fixed piece of hardware would be a better option than a mobile version. You can turn any existing PC into a kiosk by adding a USB RFID card reader or you can also build purpose built kiosks just for the job.
The Site Guard Grabber pack will also allow easy checking in and out of vehicles to your location.
