Turnstiles Can Control Visitor Site Access

When visitors have open access to a construction site, it can create complications. Visitors are not necessarily trained to be in that type of environment, and they can pose safety hazards or change the way that employees are able to perform their jobs.

There are a variety of solutions that can be used in order to try and track and control the whereabouts of visitors, but not all of them physically restrict access. When a job site can be barricaded, installing a turnstile that only allows  employees to enter with an access card can be beneficial.

An intelligent program can actually allow visitors to login to the system when they arrive at the site’s location. When setup correctly, a text message is then sent to an appointed person. This ensures that visitors can appear, but that they will not be able to wander the site without anyone knowing that they’re there. It is an option that can be superior to hiring a receptionist wh0 may not always be present, and who definitely doesn’t have the ability to restrict access across the site as a whole.

I live in Sydney Australia, for the past 3-4 months, we have not been able to go to any pub or restaurant without giving our name and number on arrival, originally with a pen and paper before a QR code Poster started to appear. This has expanded to national retail stores and thousands of smaller businesses have also set up an electronic QR Code Poster for customers to sign in their presence on-site giving their name and mobile phone number. Collecting a customer’s name and number allows for faster contact […]

Managing the visitor flow for multiple tenants in large buildings from a shared concierge can be time consuming and a very manual process. Problem – Recently a customer came to Time & People with the following process they needed to change: On a daily basis they had to send a spreadsheet report with a list of the following days visitors to the concierge so they had a list to check off each visitor as they came in.
